1. Uncross everything, relax your shoulders and push your hips
forwards. Point your torso towards the centre of the room.
2. A head held high is a typical high-status display of a dominant
individual. It forces others to look up to you when meeting your
gaze.
3. Pause in the doorway to allow people in the room to get a good
view of you. Let them see you looking your best.. (We all tend
to sag as the night goes on!).
4. Make eye contact with the people closest to you and smile. If
they don’t smile back, shift your gaze elsewhere.
5. Keeping your hands in view means honesty, don’t be tempted
to hide them in your pockets and don’t fiddle!
6. Make for the centre of the room and people’s first impression
of you will then be one of confidence.
